Vulvano 3

This artwork is on a gessoed panel measuring 298 mm by 298mm. It was inspired by an iris flower but it is also reminiscent of the female reproductive organs. Pepper red contrasts with botanical green and they are bound together with a luminous gold. The smoothness of the inks contrasts beautifully with the textured gold leaf and the viewer is invited to explore endless subtleties in the painting.
 
The painting is cradled in a white bespoke frame 322 mm by 322mm.
