Moonlit Ocean 3

This beautiful framed original resin artwork  is one of a series of resin paintings exploring the ocean at night theme.  I have tried to capture the beauty of waves illuminated by the moon.
 
It has an incredible sense of depth.. almost a 3D effect achieved from the layers used to create it.  The base being of acrylic paint to which I have added layer upon layer of tinted resin.  The marine blue flows into metallic blue and the silver highlights are reminscent  of moonbeams dancing on the waves.
